Ismail Moosa

Ismail Moosa started his career at Moosa’s Group (previously known as Moosa’s Enterprises) at the tender age of 17 years old. His late father, Essop Suleiman Moosa , the founder of Moosa’s Enterprises, believed that the best place to learn the business was at the back of a truck.

This was the beginning of a 40-year learning experience which Ismail believes he is still having so much to learn. He has witnessed the transformation of the transport industry from the apartheid area to the present-day Government of National Unity. Despite the challenges experienced within the transport sector, post Covid-19, Ismail ensured that he steered his company through these tumultuous times.

With the loyalty he cultivated over the years with his clients, employees, and service providers he ensured that he maintained the values instilled into him by his parents and peers. He firmly believes his success is testimony to always staying true to his family values that has kept him grounded and level-headed. Ismail is a firm believer that you do not have to be the biggest to be the best.

Each day, as he drives up to his office he always remembers playing with little toy trucks outside their family home, never believing that one day he would be the proud owner of one of the most well known fleets on the Western Cape Roads.
